Roast My Life ("the App") is operated by Moki Moki Team. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data when you use our App.

1. Data We Collect

We collect the following data:

We do NOT collect your name or email address unless you voluntarily link a social account (Google or Apple).

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to:

  • Generate AI-powered comedic and satirical content based on your photos
  • Store your roast history so you can review past results
  • Process purchases and manage subscriptions
  • Improve app stability and performance
  • Prevent abuse and ensure security via device attestation

3. AI Data Processing & Third-Party Sharing

When you submit a photo, it is sent to Google Gemini AI, a third-party service operated by Google LLC, for analysis. The following data is shared with Google Gemini AI:

  • Your uploaded photo
  • Optional context text you provide
  • Your selected language and intensity preferences

Google Gemini AI processes this data to generate comedic text and, optionally, a modified image. Your photos are processed anonymously — the AI does not receive your name, email, account ID, or any personally identifiable information. Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).

By using the app's analysis features, you consent to this data being sent to Google Gemini AI.

4. Data Storage & Retention

Your photos and AI-modified images are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. AI-generated text results and metadata are stored securely in Firestore, linked to your anonymous account. All server-side data is encrypted at rest using industry-standard encryption (AES-256) managed by Google Cloud. Security rules ensure that each user can only access their own data.

You can delete individual roasts from your history at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes all server-side data within 14 days. Locally stored images are managed entirely on your device.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data stored in the App
  • Delete your data at any time (Settings → Delete Account)
  • Delete individual roasts from your history
  • Withdraw consent by stopping use of the App
  • Request information about your data by contacting us
For EU/EEA users: You have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

7. Children's Privacy

Roast My Life is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the App with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
